About the event

Case Study Series: Workshop #1

At Link Advanced Movement Mechanics and Physio Mentors, we firmly believe that case-based learning is one of the most valuable ways to disseminate information and learn together as a team. With that in mind, we are excited to bring you the first of our Case Study Series, where Sally and Julia will tag team an assessment and treatment session with a patient.

Attendees will get to see them work through the case together, from gathering the patient’s history, performing both movement analysis and hands-on assessment, choosing which treatment targets and goals will be most valuable to address first, and implementing movement and manual therapy strategies. Attendees will also have a chance to practice select skills with supervision and feedback from Sally and Julia.

Are you a movement therapist looking to learn new strategies from one of the best in the business? Do you want to learn some hands-on skills so you can evaluate your clients’ tissue tension and muscle firing better? Then this workshop is for you!

Are you a manual therapist looking to improve your ability to observe movement dysfunction, and learn new ways of changing your patients’ movement patterns? Do you want to refine your manual assessment and treatment skills under the supervision of an experienced practitioner? This workshop is for you!

Do we all want to learn strategies for collaboration and inter-referral with our colleagues from different professions, so we can get our patients better results, facilitate our own learning, and grow our caseloads? YES!

This is an in-person learning experience. Please bring/wear shorts and a tank top so we can use our bodies to practice with each other.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:
  • Learn to better evaluate movement dysfunction
  • Experience real-time movement analysis and hands-on assessment
  • Refine manual assessment and treatment skills under the supervision of experienced practitioners
